Last weekend was full of Nostalgia and New beginnings all intertwined.
After a full week of preparing for conferences and report writing I was pooped. To distress from the week, I decided I would get away upstate with baby girl. I was glad the school week had passed.
On our way to upstate NY, I decided it would be a great idea to make a quick stop at my old University, SUNY New Paltz. It was beautiful.
My spirit filled with new nurturing emotions and my thoughts were full with memories of old experiences.
From time to time I would say to myself, “Wow, the Glo Up is real”.
What was even more exciting was that I was able to share this experience with my baby girl.
Chloè was super excited to see where I went to school as well as how and where my dorm was. She asked a million questions about the campus, about adulthood, where and what I ate, as well as how I met some of my long time friends from college. I enlightened her with my interesting stories of college life, lol.
She was siked by the huge vending machine that was smacked in the middle of campus, honestly, so was I. So much had changed and it felt Good.
Anywho, when deciding what to wear I didn’t want to over do it. I wanted to keep it stylish and chic and at the same time scream my personality.
I wore my favorite leather jacket (one of my fall essentials) from Forever21
Gray Skinny Stretch True Religion pants. And remember my last post “His Sweater” , the sweater that I wore was apart of the collection of sweaters I snagged from Men’s wear, a tube neck sweater from H&M. The sweater is nice and cozy, but a tad bit on the itchy side so I put on a long sleeved shirt to limit the itch, lol. The sweater is cute though and I couldn’t resist NOT wearing it.
I paired this fit with my new Cayden Heeled sock fit boots in Grey, again from Public Desire (I warned you, I’m a #PDBAE).
That amazing blue bag you see in the picture above was a gift from my mom some time ago.
Brand: Joy and Iman, I love this bag, great quality, sturdy and a unique brand many people my age knows nothing about. It even has an old school watch clock in gold that hangs on the out side of it. My mom has the bag in red, which I plan to borrow sometime soon.
I was feeling very fall-y (just made that word up) and being upstate with all the pretty colors of fall leaves made this trip even more memorable.
But Overall, this experience was an eye opener to my new and evolved life.
Living in life’s moments that God and the Universe has designed and blessed me and my daughter with.
All of my thoughts and emotions literally filled my heart with pure JOY, HOPE and EXCITEMENT for whats to become of my future.
Until Next Time,
Peace. Love. Style.
