As I ponder on my time in Dominican Republic, I realize how much my desire to travel has grown. I enjoyed waking up knowing that there’s no exact set plan, but making sure I’m dressed for any spontaneous event or moment.
For the sake of this post, I say, you can never go wrong wearing a Tee with your favorite cartoon character(s) on it. It gives your fit a little “young spunk”. A tab bit of an 80’s feel, which I just so happen to be “established” in, 80’s baby all theee wayyyy lol. Remember my older post, “You’z a character” ?. I wore a men’s tees-shirt with looney tune characters on it as a dress 🙂 and I had gotten so many compliments on my fit that day. So if you’ve ever thought about pairing a character Tee shirt with a pair of your favorite jeans, skirt, or shorts, I’d say go for it! Remember as long as you are confident wearing it that’s all that matters.
Here are some images of a very simple fit I put together when getting ready to tour the city of Puerto Plata.
The shorts I wore, I had purchased when I travelled to Australia in 2010, at a small clothing boutique. The brand of the shorts is Mink Pink. They have some cool trendy clothing. Check them out.
And of course, I am wearing my summer favorites on my feet from Public Desire.
I don’t remember exactly where I purchased my top from since I had it for almost 2 years, but I’m guessing it may have been from Forever21. They always have cool character Tees and things.
And Who says you need to wear shoes when you’re on the beach all day? lol. I really did over pack and brought more shoes than I did outfits. My shoes had its own suitcase, no exaggeration, lol.
Peek- A- Boo!
I had so much fun with this outfit and wearing it to walk comfortably on the beach, without shoes. I even showed a little cheek too. *wink, wink*
Welp, I hope you enjoyed this little number 🙂
Until Next Time,
Peace. Love. Style
