Powdered Pink Coat

Powdered Pink Coat

Hey you guys! Happy New Year!

This is my first style post of 2017 and I hope that the year has been Awesome for you all so far. I’m sending blessings your way so that the rest of your year is prosperous and fulfilling and surrounded with Love, Peace and of course Amazing style *wink*.

Lets get to this Post!

You guys, this coat, as simple as it is, I love it. I love everything about it the color, the weight (very light) and the cut. You’d be amazed at how much I paid and where I purchased it from.

I first saw this powered pink wool coat in Harlem H&M on 125th street, on sale for 10 BIG BUCKS! yes $10. I had only saw one hanging on a random rack, my size and I wanted to purchase it right then, but the line was crazy long. So, I said F-it. Now, usually when I say forget it to an Item I really want, and theres only one piece left, a mental processing of thoughts begin happening, lol. First, (while admiring the Item), I think to myself  “I really, really want it, but… (whatever the conflict maybe) in this case, the line is too long”. Then I think to myself “F- it, i’ll come back for it”. After that, I distinctly say aloud, “If its meant for me, it’ll be here when I come back for it”. Haha! This is my thought process, while shopping at times. Weird? lol.

Anywho, Unfortunately, when I returned two days after, the coat disappeared, but i didn’t give up hope. I went to the H&M in cross county Mall, Yonkers, Ny and would you believe they didn’t just have one in my size they had 6 in ONLY MY SIZE… for 10 WHOLE BUCKS! lol. Ya’ll I was ecstatic! Of course I swiped that bad boy with the quickness along with two other items and proceed out the door as a very satisfied customer. 🙂

One thing I cannot pass up is a deal like that!

First time wearing my coat, I paired it with ZigiSoho laced Burgundy ankle boots that I had in my closet. I purchased them over 2 years ago and probably only wore them 3 times.

The bottoms I wore are from UrbanOutfitters and the purse I believe I purchased from Forever21. Both these pieces I’ve had in my closet for over a year. I love the fact that I can keep clothes and get great uses out of them because my weight hardly ever changes, lol. Ive been the same size for decadessss now, lol. I wish I can put on a lil’ bit’a pounds.

I layered an oversized white button up shirt, also from H&M with a powdered pink “kanye rendition” sweater from Express. I love this sweater because of the color, its soft texture and the zippers on each side. It makes the sweater very unique.

I added my custom made button my daughter created during a kid’s event with wonder kids NYC. It says “IAmMyOwnStyle” of course. I haven’t purchased any jewel accessories lately, but the rings you see in the picture below are from H&M. The necklace (which I adore) was made by a parent of a former student I taught. It is a raw Quartz crystal with a 23k gold tip on a brass chain. If your interested in purchasing, her Instagram is @Salvajeprincesa.

This outfit was simple yet stylish for this winter day…
